A distinguished delegation from the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (TRI-CAAS) visited our university to explore new avenues of collaboration in tea science and technology. The visit marked a significant milestone with the signing of a bilateral cooperation protocol aimed at promoting innovation in tea research and talent development for the mutual benefit of both countries’ tea industries.
A Tea Conference was organized by our Tea Specialization Coordination Unit at the Congress and Cultural Center, Hall A. During the conference, prominent members of the TRI-CAAS delegation delivered insightful presentations:
- Prof. Dr. Mingzhe Yao – “Chinese Tea Culture: The Six Fundamental Types of Tea”
- Prof. Dr. Zhixiu Zhou – “Tea Brewing Techniques and Sensory Analysis”
- Prof. Dr. Jianqiang Ma – “Breeding Studies and Recent Developments in Tea”
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yang Li – “Smart Agriculture Technologies in Tea Cultivation”
- Mr. Ximai Zhou – “Introduction to TRI-CAAS and Funding Opportunities”
Our Innovative Materials Mechanics Research Group actively accompanied the TRI-CAAS team throughout their technical visit, facilitating a series of fruitful discussions on potential collaborative research. The dialogue also included exploratory talks about short-term postdoctoral opportunities that could further strengthen bilateral scientific cooperation in material science and agricultural engineering.
